Intro:

Over the past few years, I went from sitting on the sidelines (a.k.a. my couch) to finishing 5k's, 10k's, a half marathon, and triathlon relay. More recently, I've begun changing my focus to CrossFit workouts and fitting in a few runs here and there!

Along the way I've managed to lose a total of 40 lbs! Join me on my journey to keep pushing forward while maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle.

I've been a little busy lately...

with these lovelies...

celebrating the awesome accomplishments of this little...err... I mean big guy:

Our hectic spring baseball season of 50 +/- games (league & travel combined) is finally over!  Words cannot describe how much of a proud baseball mama I am. :)

With that being said, I am still going S T R O N G getting in the miles with spinning and running!  If we're friends on Dailymile you can check out my workouts.

Just this past Monday I was able to get in an awesome double spin class session (thanks to cheer practice being canceled ;)) and on Tuesday I took advantage of my lunch break at home and ran a really enjoyable 4 miles.  I say it was enjoyable because I had the new Beyonce album blasting in my ears and I set a nice comfortable pace and just zoned out.  I actually felt like I could just keep going!  Really love it when my runs feel like that.

This coming weekend my husband is putting on my new bike rack and I'll be doing some running and cycling outside! Can't wait!

  1. You are so inspiring. We're not at the point of kids yet, but while I'm so excited about that time coming, I'm TERRIFIED as well. It's so inspirational to see a that you can still be fit mommy. I struggle with the thought of all my hard work going away and losing this part of me, because I LOVE this part of me. I love being dedicated, I love being fit and strong, and I get so scared when thinking that it all goes away once I become mommy to someone. Thank you for inspiring me and showing me it CAN be done!

  4. I love when my runs feel like that! I try so hard to find music that I can really get into during a run. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I love when I finish and feel like i could have gone longer. I read on a blog once "why stop when there is still fuel in the tank?" Love it! But right now I am sticking to my training schedule and I love having a schedule to get me to the big half marathon day! Thanks for your comments. I was glad to hear that you experienced some of the same things I am!
