Intro:

Over the past few years, I went from sitting on the sidelines (a.k.a. my couch) to finishing 5k's, 10k's, a half marathon, and triathlon relay. More recently, I've begun changing my focus to CrossFit workouts and fitting in a few runs here and there!

Along the way I've managed to lose a total of 40 lbs! Join me on my journey to keep pushing forward while maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle.

I love running...

Especially when I've been away from it.  Yesterday, all I could think about was getting in a run. I've been on the bike A LOT lately and I just wanted to do something different. Something that didn't involve sitting on a hard seat for hours. ;)

So after work yesterday, I went home, enjoyed a quick bite of pb on an Arnold's thin and headed out the door to the gym.  Once there, I proceeded to run pretty much non-stop for over an hour.

6.2 miles - 68 minutes - Average pace: 10:58's
Nothing really exciting happened during the run, but I was happy.  Happy with how great I felt during the run.  Happy to just be running.  I was even thinking that I could have just kept going. Maybe I could've cranked out 8 miles?  Seriously, that's how great I felt. However, duties called and I needed to get home for dinner and family time.
With that being said, I'll leave you all with a few photos of what's been keeping me busy.... :) Enjoy!

  1. Awesome. Congrats! That's such a great feeling. You're looking fantastic btw!!!!!

Also, just noticed that you run in the same shoes as me. I currently have the GTS 10's but have the 11s on order. Can't wait, my legs are dying in this old pair.
